-Boat rental must adhere to the weight and capacity maximums as specified by the boat manufacturer. Florida Keys Boat Rentals of Islamorada will gladly make you aware of the boats’ limits before you choose a vessel to rent.-All boats must remain within a 5 mile radius of Robbie’s Marina at all times.

-There is no towing allowed (skiing, wake boarding, tubing, etc).

-Boat rental customer is always responsible for the rental fee plus gas and tax.

-Cancellations: Within 48 hours there are no refunds. Prior to 48 hours before the rental is scheduled to start a phone call with confirmation from an employee is required to cancel the rental. If there is a small craft advisory issued by NOAA the day of your rental you have the option to opt out of the rental with no cost to you.

-If FKBROI terminates your rental due to weather (lightning, wind, storms, etc) there will be no cost to you. If your rental is shortened because of the above reasons it will be up to the manager on staff to decide what percentage of the rental fee you owe. Generally, when a rental is cut short the payment is pro-rated to reflect the amount of the rental you were able to complete.

-Early termination of the contract due to noncompliance forfeits security deposit and any fees. Non-compliance includes but is not limited to boating after dark, picking up un-authorized passengers, towing, leaving the 5 mile radius the vessel must stay in, etc. These parameters are listed in the rental contract.

-Any laws broken by the renter are the renter’s responsibility. ie: drinking while driving, unlawful fish harvested, boating in no-motor zones, etc.

-A boater’s safety test is required if the renter was born after 1988. This can be done online or administered at our facility.

-A $1000 security deposit is required on all boats. This can be made with cash or credit card. Security deposit are run on any major credit card as an Authorization Only. Authorizations are held by the credit card company for up to 5-7 business days. Damages incurred are the renter’s responsibility and will be deducted from deposit.
